Taking time off from whipping private and corporate revellers into a frenzy, the UK’s premier party band bows to overwhelming demand by fans of its dance-infectious, fun-packed performances to deliver an open ticket gig. Moving and grooving to the biggest hits from the Jones-boy to Jamiroquai, Boney-M to Beyonce - the greatest pop hits of more than four decades — has never been a hotter (or hornier!) London ticket! November A distinct absence of formaldehyde at a recent event at London’s Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) was no cause for alarm – the highly stylised artistry of Hot and Horny ‘The Wicked Party Band’, managed to float unassisted in the cool September night air, enticing revellers and fans alike in from the city’s famous Mall. It was a night when plagiarism reigned supreme! These masters of faithful reproduction drew upon their vast palette of repertoire to deliver over 3 hours of musical depiction, from the 60s 70s, 80s and beyond, with each musical canvas – albeit a faultless copy – as vivid and captivating as the original. Exhibiting to a packed house, the partying hoards were treated to a visual colour fest of Kandinskian vibrancy expressed via stunning costumes and a breathtaking stage show; blended with a collage of such rich musical diversity none were left pondering the merits of this bands totally unique artistry. All critics agreed, they are refreshingly, without controversy, London’s (p)artistic tour de force. September The ICA on The Mall, home of all that is hip, new and cool in London's performing arts scene, is the venue for the latest public gig by London's premier party band, Hot and Horny. 18 October promises to be a very special evening with a legendary vocal visitor rising Lazarus-like in his big anniversary year. Disco, latin, lounge, soul, pop, funk. You name it, we'll be playing it! Hot and Horny will perform three sets, including a host of new songs never publicly played by us before. Three superb vocalists, the sizzling Jalapeño Horns and a red hot rhythm section - what more could you possibly want at the end of a stressful week in the City? Relax, unwind … you must be joking!! PARTY ON! June Gaby Yorath, ITV’s sexiest football pundit (no offence Ally McCoist!), was there in person to see one of Hot and Horny’s most prestigious summer gigs of 2002. Filling the huge space of London’s Hays Galleria shopping mall (SE1) with its unique sound, Hot and Horny provided the evening-long entertainment for all participants, organisers and supporters of the Crisis Square Mile Run on 13 June. Gaby “kicked off” the proceedings and sent the runners on their way before the band set up to await their arrival on completion of the charity event. Despite some aching limbs it wasn’t long before the whole place was rocking and the band were posing for photos with the gleeful throng. Hot and Horny has a long and highly successful relationship with Crisis, having provided the full evening’s entertainment for their post-Christmas party for a number of years now, in London’s Conway Hall. May Shirt removal and shirt propulsion were the order of the day when the band took centre stage at the Balliol College Summer Event in Oxford on 4 May! In between sets from talented student DJs, Hot and Horny soon had the Oxford students crying out for more as they pumped out their irresistible sound in the main marquee. As the Latin set reached its pulsating climax a number of shirts were seen to be removed and thrown onstage to the delight of the H & H vocalists! The youth of today clearly know when they’re onto a good thing!! Hot
and Horny are pleased to announce that, due to popular demand, we're organising
another public gig on Friday 30th November. Given the huge success
of the last one we've decided to again use the superb facilities of ULU,
London again. January 700 volunteers celebrated the New Year in style on 13 January 2001, at a huge 'thank you for a job well done at Christmas' party held by Crisis, the charity organisation which cares for the well-being of Britain's homeless. The young, the old, people from all walks of life, those who had joined forces to care and cater for the less fortunate who live on London's city streets, arrived at Conway Hall, Holborn, humble of their efforts - many embarrassed that such a fuss was being made of them. And yet it seems that perhaps, through their first hand experience of the city's terrible poverty and depravation, genuine appreciation and the absolute most is made of this gift of a great night out. It was Hot and Horny's pleasure to provide the entertainment - for the third year in succession - for this worthwhile annual event. Crisis volunteers were treated to the complete works - Hot and Horny at its usual uncompromising best. The best party music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s presented in three uniquely themed sets, each with it's own special use of costumes and props (and crazy Hot and Horny antics, of course!), all accompanied by a dazzling light show - the very best in entertainment, bar none. Needless to say, it was a night to remember! Hot and Horny are proud to support and be associated with the organisation Crisis, should you require further details of the charity please feel free to contact us via the website link, or Crisis direct on: +44 (0) 20 7655 8300. December Alfred Hitchcock would have doubtless been rocking in his grave on 14 December 2000, when Hot and Horny imposed themselves upon his beloved Gainsborough Studios stage in North London. Over 1000 revelling guests from advertising company McCann Erickson were entertained at their Christmas bash, in three 1-hour sets in the celebrated movie venue where Hitch made 'The Lady Vanishes' and other cinematic classics. The centrepiece of a stunning stage-show created by Live Productions and using Paul Weller's massive sound rig, the band were in storming form throughout the party-night and, as they took a hard-earned rest between each of their three themed sets, alternative entertainment was presented in the form of a chain-saw wielding, metal-briefed, flame-spitting dancer and two muslin-suspended acrobats! Party on!! December A double-helping of the sensational seventies electrified Covent Garden's Roadhouse on 9 December 2000 as those giants of Glam Rock Slade together with feel-good groovsters Hot and Horny wrapped and tied some five hundred Christmas revellers into a seasonal frenzy. The seventies guitar gargantuans dazzled a diverse audience of both hardened fans, and 'Feel The Noize' first-timers alike, with flair-tastic flamboyance and hit after massive hit. A one hour sweat-soaked set of pure energy culminated with a roof-raising rendition of their Christmas anthem 'Merry Christmas Everybody' - a glittering gauntlet had been extravagantly cast for the act daring to follow … Perspiration-drenched chest hair was replaced by colour-crazed Caftans whilst the sexy, sequinned sandals of the Hot and Horny girls re-traced the syncopated steps of Dave Hill's platform boots - The Wicked Party Band took to the stage and rose to the Slade challenge. An audience in full party mood soon recalled that the seventies wasn't all rocking testosterone and leather as disco delirium delivered dance-floor fever. 'I Will Survive', 'Blame It On The Boogie', 'Hot Stuff', an Abba extravaganza and Boney M's mega-hit 'Rasputin' raised the temperature of the Roadhouse to boiling point. The cool winter night soon transformed into a scorching South American fiesta as hot bodies 'Dance(d) The Night Away' - Hot And Horny had gone Latino to conclude in true party style - and the likes of 'Mambo No.5', 'Walking On Sunshine' and Ricky Martin's 'La Vida Loca' left the London crowd exhilarated, exhausted, but screaming for more… November The Roadhouse, Covent Garden: London's premier live music venue became the scene of a unique music extravaganza as Hot and Horny enjoyed a joint billing with London legends Chas and Dave. The cockney revellers had the crowd rocking in the aisles and singing along to a fantastic set of their best-loved hits before passing the reigns to Hot and Horny, The Wicked Party Band for some full-on party classics. The excitement just kept on building, and a packed Roadhouse crowd cheered with delight as Hot and Horny powered through 'Let Me Entertain You' as an encore. A brilliant night! Best wishes to Chas, Dave and young Mick in the 'engine room' from all at Hot and Horny. August Hot and Horny The Wicked Party Band, were the centrepiece of a prestigious party held by The document company - Xerox. Hundreds of guests filled the dancefloor as the party classics just kept coming and coming: pop, disco, soul, funk, latin and chart hits from the present day. The band were called back for THREE encores! As one partygoer exclaimed: 'they really are THE Wicked Party Band!' Check out our references to prove its all true. July Hot and Horny have made yet another headline appearance at London's premier live music venue: The Roadhouse, Covent Garden. The crowd grooved to the massive sound long into the night. The band will be a regular feature at the venue in the coming months. July Heart 106.2FM and Cancer Research committed themselves to the cause that is Hot and Horny, when they booked the band as the headline feature at The London Bike Ride in Battersea Park on 2nd July. Performing two sets on the Heart FM Roadshow Stage the band proved once again that they are entertainers par excellence as a large crowd aged from 8-80 danced on a memorable summer's afternoon. A measure of the sheer professionalism of, and unreserved enthusiasm for The Wicked Party Band was displayed on 12th May 2000, as hundreds of eager fans surged into London's ULU (University of London Union) for a Hot and Horny Experience. Combining an unabashed exercise in self-promotion with a large private party for friends, family and supporters, the band's second public event in less than a year drew an audience that had more than doubled! A champagne-fuelled VIP balcony catered for a host of distinguished guests from the worlds of corporate entertainment, broadcasting and the media, whilst downstairs 700 frenzied revellers gyrated and grooved to the three-set extravaganza sans pareille: Soul City, Disco Fever andLatino Lovefest. When the stage erupted in a blaze of lights to tremulous guitar chords that announced the most poignant anthem "Let Me Entertain You", not one person in the packed house could doubt that they were witnessing something very special indeed. Watch this space for details of the next Hot and Horny public gig!
